Hanan Noer:I don't think he was bitter at all. I just think he was passionate and intense and didn't care for bullcrap. Not that interesting of an obit. I found this one more interesting, although never heard of this site before.

Agixneesiarne:Hitch seemed like a bitter man. He always seemed to not be just making a point but truly, thoroughly pi s sed. I am not an expert on him but what I read alludes to a very tough life when younger. I think his was a sad case despite the notoriety he received. He didn't seem inclined to believe there was a whole lot of good about anything. Currently, I am reading, "The physics of Immortality", by Tipler which describes that the "mathematical techniques to analyze the global structure of the universe did not exist until about 25 yrs ago." (40 years ago because the book has been around awhile) Basically the books discusses through physics how eternal life is possible. My point is that this author is highly intelligent (at least as much as Mr. Hitchens...probably demonstrably more so. HItchens was awfully arrogant and I think he had a personality that was about as appealing as a DMV worker but I still feel sorry for him and any family he had.
